Senior families. Just a reminder that on Monday, May 20th is our senior awards night. This event will be held in the auditorium at 7:00. Cookies and punch will be served at 6:30, prior to the ceremony.

Is it Groundhog's Day? Thanks to NHS Sophomore Ainsley Ritchie, this Groundhog got to see the baseball game from a better view. After hitting a double, the game was halted due to a groundhog on the field. Ainsley made sure to not only catch the groundhog, but return him to safety. Ainsley ended up scoring a run for the Raiders, showing a good heart goes a long way!

Students were invited to participate in job interviews with local businesses today. They were well prepared to interview for future Work Based Learning placements or summer jobs that will better prepare them for their future careers! We appreciate the support of our local business partners and hope they were able to find great students to fill their open positions! Way to go Raiders!!

REMEMBERING ELI CORYN!! # 15 💙 Please join Northridge Lacrosse as we remember & honor our former player & friend, Eli Coryn, this Friday, April 12th, @ Interra Field. Please arrive prior 7:00 pm. The JV boys lacrosse game vs Saint Joe begins at 7:00 pm followed by the Varsity game. Eli's family will be recognized at approximately 7:30 pm during the half time intermission of the JV Boys game! Students K-12 are free. Wear BLUE to the game & help us celebrate the LIFE of ELI CORYN! #blueforeli💙

Northridge Senior, Avery Virok from Lagrange, Indiana, has recently been named one of the incoming Stamps Scholars at Purdue University. The Stamps Scholars Program was founded by E. Roe Stamps and his late wife Penny in 2006, with the purpose of enabling extraordinary educational experiences for extraordinary students. The program has grown to include 36 universities across the country, with approximately 360 students receiving the honor every year. At Purdue University, Stamps Scholars receive annual awards covering their full cost of attendance, with an additional $10,000 enrichment fund for activities such as study abroad, research internships, and academic conferences. The program seeks students who demonstrate academic merit, strong leadership potential, and exceptional character. We are very excited for Avery to have earned this incredible opportunity! Avery has a high passion for STEM, with plans to major in Biomedical Engineering at Purdue University. In her ideal future career, Avery would diligently work to aid communities through medical advancements and research. While at Northridge High School, Avery actively involved herself in a few clubs, including Science Olympiad, National Honor Society, Raider Tables, Junior Optimist Club, and National Art Honor Society. Avery wants to express gratitude to her parents, family and friends, and all the educators who invested in her to help her achieve this honor. CONGRATS AVERY🔰💛💚🔰

Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the nation’s longest-running, most prestigious recognition program for creative teens, has just released the 2024 Key and Honorable Mention awards. Nine students earned honors this year, several earning more than one distinction. Students’ entries are blindly adjudicated by some of the foremost leaders in the visual and literary arts, with jurors looking for works that exemplify the Awards’ core values: originality, technical skill, and the emergence of personal voice or vision.
