The Middlebury school board voted last night to raise the rate of pay for individuals training to be an MCS bus driver. Bus driver trainees will now make $18/hr while training, and can also serve as a substitute bus monitor at this same rate of pay. This increase will allow trainees to earn improved compensation during training and in some cases, provide support for our current drivers as a bus monitor.
MCS appreciates the work that the school board and teachers association does for students and staff. Thank you! Seated are MTA co-presidents Amy Seegert and Tracy Martin. Standing are board members Mitch Miller, Don Anderson, Kate Hummel, Gregg Eash, and Mike Varner.
