York wants to thank all the volunteers from our community who spent time in each of our classes today with the Junior Achievement program. Junior Achievement exposes kids to basic business concepts and skills that enable them to understand real-life economics. The kids really enjoyed having them with us today!

Reminder that all School Smiles consent forms to be seen by the dentist are due tomorrow, September 26th.
York is looking to continue a program called "Blessings in a Backpack" for 40+ families this school year. The program provides bags for food sent home every Friday in the student's backpack to help for the weekend. The cost to make this possible is $100/student for the year. We have a goal of $4500. Please share this with family and friends to help us meet our goal! Checks can be made out to "Blessings in a Backpack" and sent to the school in an envelope marked "Blessings". Every amount makes a difference! Thank you for considering to help!
We have accumulated some lunch items such as containers, lunch boxes, and water bottles in our lost and found. If you recognize one of these as your child's, please either stop by the office to retrieve them or ask your student to stop by and pick them up. Thanks!

Girl Powered Workshop. Join us for a fun morning of hands-on STEM related activities for K - 5th grade girls. The workshop will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 9:30- 11:30 AM at Northridge High School. The Northridge Youth Basketball Association is excited to announce registration for Raiderball 2023. The league will run from October 2nd - November 15th. Practice will be on Monday nights, with games on Wednesday evenings. Cost is $60 per child and includes a uniform. Northridge Youth Girls Basketball League 2023. 1st and 2nd graders will practice on Tuesdays starting Sept 26 from 6:15-7:15 at HIS. 3th - 6th graders will practice on Thursdays starting Sept 28th from 6:30 -8:00 at NMS field house. League runs through November 4th. Games will be Oct 14th, 28th and Nov 4th. Cost will be $50 for a single player. Multiple siblings will be $40/player. If a jersey is needed, the cost is $15. Email and Twitter, @NRRaidersGBB, will be used for communication.
Reminder to our York Families: Please plan on attending our Kick-Off/Registration Pick-Up this Wednesday, August 2nd, from 12 - 6 pm. This is an open house style and families may stop by anytime during that time frame. The office will be open as well if you have any questions. New KG families, August 2nd from 12 - 6 is your open house to get information about the school year and meet your teachers. We are excited to see each of you!
