Rhythm in action!  Students at Heritage Intermediate are bringing music to life using Boomwhackers to explore the fundamentals of tempo and beat. 
Beyond learning notes and rhythms, music education plays a critical role in overall student growth and development:
Cognitive Development: Playing rhythm patterns enhances brain function, sharpening memory, spatial reasoning, and math-related skills through counting and pattern recognition.
Motor Skills & Coordination: Syncing movement with sound builds fine motor control, hand-eye coordination, and physical awareness.
Teamwork & Focus: Playing together requires active listening, cooperation, and patience to keep the collective beat on track.
Emotional Well-Being: Music provides a creative outlet for self-expression, relieving stress and building confidence in a collaborative environment.
