Northridge High School Super Mileage Team

This past weekend the Northridge High School Super Mileage Team competed in the Shell Eco-Marathon Americas competition in Detroit.  The team was tasked with building a vehicle that would get the best gas mileage possible. Team members have worked all year to develop their vehicle including some putting in 35 plus hours during the first few days of spring break. All of their hard work was show cased on the streets of Detroit this past weekend. The team fought through multiple breakdowns to finish 20th out of 42 cars in class and obtaining a fuel mileage of 229 miles per gallon. The team would not have been able to accomplish this goal without the help of the many sponsors and would like to thank them all. The Supermileage Team is looking forward to taking two cars down to Indianapolis in two weeks to compete in the IMSTEA Supermileage Challenge.
