Announcements

National Honor Society will be sponsoring a blood drive Thursday, Sept. 28th in the field house. We have been asked by the Red Cross to fill 90 slots in hopes of getting 48 units of blood. We would like to surpass their expectations of 48 units. Sign up sheets are in the library on the book case. If you are 16 you will need a parent signature, forms will be available later today. If you are 17 or older you just need to sign up. Please give life to others.

Students, today is picture retake day. Inter State Studios will be here from 8-2 to take retakes and photos of anyone who missed photos at registration. There are order forms available in the front office. teachers, your individual portraits will also be taken at this time, please make time to have your picture taken.

Cookies will be handed out during lunches this Fridayt for August and Sept. birthdays

Honor society, there will be a meeting this Friday at 8 in the auditorium. Come early for donuts!

Theatre troupe members, there will be a troupe meeting on Thursday at 7:40 in room 211. Please be prompt. We have business to attend to.

Jostens representatives will be at Northridge High school this Friday, Sept 22 to take class Jewelry orders during lunches in the Cafeteria concessions. Don't forget your orders and down payment of $50. Design your class jewelry at Jostens.com, print your order form and bring your deposit to receive a free hoodie.

The 2018 Miss Elkhart County Scholarship will take place on Oct. 22 at Goshen Middle School. Compete for scholarships and the chance to compete at Miss Indiana.

The girl's soccer team defeated Wawasee the other night 9-0 with goals made by Ariana Stoltzfus, Emma Oxenrider, Sage Schnell, Izzy Love, and Kyla Long. Their conference record stands at 4 wins and 1 tie. They will be hosting Elkhart Memorial tomorrow with JV kickoff at 5pm.

Last night the boys cross country team tied Concord with a score of 28 to 28 but won the tie breaker, officially winning the meet. The boys' NLC record stands at 6-1. The girls beat Concord 24-35 and their record is 7-0 the Raiders will be competing at the New Haven invitational this Saturday.

JV Raider volleyball won last night at Fairfield. Holly Stutzman had 8 kills, Jaci Walker had 4 kills and 2 aces. Mia Stallman had 12 assists. See you Thursday at Northwood

The band will be competing at the Penn Invitational September 23rd. Tickets are $6 and the event starts at 7:30 and our band will be performing at 8:20.

Reminder to all Juniors and Seniors being inducted into membership next Wednesday- you need to turn in your RSVPs and bios to Augi by Friday so we can plan for the ceremony, please get these in as soon as possible.

Northridge High School is holding a financial aid and FAFSA meeting on Monday, October 2nd at 7:00pm in the NHS auditorium.

Goshen High School will be hosting a college fair on Tuesday, october 3rd from 6:30 to 8pm, a financial aid meeting will be held from 7 to 7:30pm. Over 70 colleges and members of the armed forces will be represented. Parents and students are both invited to this opportunity

Seniors, if you are considering attending Bethel college you're in luck! Bethel College is coming to Northridge on Friday, September 22nd for a free onsite admission event from 9-12. Come to guidance to pick up an application and sign up for a time slot to meet with an admissions counselor. IUSB is coming in October, watch for information to follow. If you have any questions, see the guidance department.

There's no place like homecoming!
The first annual homecoming semiformal dance will be held on Saturday, September 30th from 8 to 11pm doors will open at 7:30 and close at 8:30. Tickets are $10 dollars each and are on sale during all lunches this week. Your last day to purchase a ticket will be Friday the 22nd.
